Yoga taught me how to connect with myself, my body and my emotions. It taught me how to be more aware of my body, how to be more aware of my emotions (and how to recognise them!) and it helped me break patterns to stay close to myself and set boundaries.
After having practiced Wado-Ryu Karate for many years, I was introduced to Yoga and Tai Chi because of body injuries. I continued to explore Yoga until it became a full-time passion. Today, I still bring elements of Wado-Ryu Karate into my yoga sessions such as breathing, balance, physical and mental strength as well as corporal movement flow.
I am also the very proud mother of Sil and Daan! My two pregnancies were completely different and confronted me to various emotional and physical experiences which were not always easy to cope with.
Garage Mama was born with the desire to offer everyone a place, a home, a moment of relaxation, trust and warmth. A place where you can be yourself, no matter how or what you feel.
