Mother Earth - Birth Doula support

Introduction

Pregnancy is a precious period. You want to feel confident, informed and surrounded with respect, love and care.
I'm a Ayelet, mother of 3, childbirth educator and a doula. My mission as your doula is to encourage you to get to know yourself, your wishes, fears and intuitions.
Prepare your mind, body, heart and partner for labour, birth and life as a family.

☾ How will we work together?
Firstly, after you contact me, we will meet in person to get to know each other. I'll share with you my tools and knowledge to support you on your journey towards a positive birth experience.
If we decide to work together, we will meet every 3 to 4 weeks. My goal is for you to feel empowered and equipped with all the knowledge and tools you need to feel ready and excited for your birth.
From week 37 to 42, I will be on call for your birth, available for emotional support or any questions you may have. It's important to me that you feel supported throughout your entire journey, and we will stay in touch to ensure that you have all the answers you need.
When labour begins, day or night I will come to you, whether it be at your home or hospital, and I will be with you until the end of the birth when you hold your baby in your arms, feeling calm and content.
A week after the birth, I will come to visit you to check how all of you are feeling, to offer advice or help with issues you may be facing, and most importantly, to give you a hug.
I offer several packages of birth support, as well as a postpartum support package. Please feel free to read through them and send me any questions you may have.

~ EMOTIONAL SUPORT
​I will work with you and your birth partner to discuss any fears and/or insecurities around pregnancy, birth and parenthood
We will talk about your birth wishes and dreams, what makes you feel relaxed, safe and comfortable.
I will hold place so that you feel supported and safe. My presence will be constant and continuous. I will encourage you and be with you in every decision and thought during the birth and the period after.

~ INFORMATIONAL SUPPORT​
Providing evidence-based information around pregnancy and birth
Sharing insight and information into the Dutch maternity system
We will talk about the role of the partner, how he can support and how together we can be a team and work together
Watch a birth videos together, Practicing labour positions, Practicing relaxation techniques and movement options.
Explains processes in a hospital and interprets the situation
Recommendations/referrals to trusted care providers (such as acupuncturists, workshops, shiatsu, lactation consultants, and more) if needed.

~ PHYSICAL SUPPORT
​Creating a calming birthing environment: dim lights, candles, music, incense
Setting-up the birthing pool or other water therapy (warm shower for example)
Calming touch and counter-pressure
Providing nourishment with food and drinks.
In time of need, staying with dad/mom or baby.

☾ Every family is unique and every phase of pregnancy, childbirth and the period after requires something different. That is why it is important that I will get to know you and your wishes. I offer a range of doula support options to suit different circumstances, budgets - every family will feel guided and supported and arrive this special day calm and confident.
