I am Katia Khomich. I am a certified mindfulness & mindset coach, yoga therapist and a health behaviour coach. In my work I use truly holistic approach: breathing, mindfulness, loving-kindness techniques, movement and lifestyle.
I prepare you for birth and smooth recovery – teaching you skills of optimal breathing, processing emotions, skills of self-compassion, pain management and focused attention.
All my work is trauma informed.
My mission is to inspire 10 000 expecting and first-time mothers to learn about and start practicing mindfulness, breathwork, movement so that that can approach their pregnancy, birth, recovery and health in general – in wiser, holistic way. I am also a mom of a baby girl, pregnant with my second baby. People call me calm and insightful one.
I teach what I practice and what helps me to stand up for myself, my health and well-being.
Mindfulness -based birth preparation is a new, evidence based way, to prepare for birth and postpartum.
It is strongly encouraged and recommended by midwifes, doulas and obstetricians all over the world.
Additionally, mindfulness-based programs have been linked to increased positive affect, childbirth self-efficacy, mindfulness, better partner psychological well-being, higher newborn APGAR scores, improved maternal-fetal attachment, and better infant social-emotional development.
During 4 private (1-1) sessions you will:
1. become an expert in your own breath and start using your breath for regulation and calming. This means that when you feel your first contraction, you will know exactly how to breathe in an optimal way to promote birth smoother birth.
2. you will learn to focus your mind and stay present, one breath at a time.
3. you will master mindfulness based pain management tools and feel empowered as you approach childbirth.
4. you will understand how to process emotions – which will be extremely useful in your postpartum stage.
5. and finally – you will tap into the power of self-compassion and compassion to others. A tool that have been linked with reduction in anxiety and increase in pro-social behaviour.

The mindfulness course by Katia helped me a lot during my pregnancy, but moreover it helps me after giving birth.
For the whole first month I had been super tired, didn’t get enough sleep and had many difficulties with breastfeeding. To be honest I wasn’t prepared for it, because I thought I would be able to breastfeed my baby without any trouble. Mindfulness helps me not to blame myself and to accept the combined feeding with a formula. Besides that Katia is such a wonderful person which energizes you and gives positive thoughts!
I loved the first session about Mindfulness in the context of pregnancy and labour. I loved the comparison with training the mind just like I train my body in the gym. And I related to the concept of choice. I think for the first time I felt inspired to actually give it a chance. But also, I empowered to do this practice on my own terms.
