As a doula, I offer my help to prepare and guide new parents and their birthing companions. Each parent deserves to be informed and to be supported regardless of the way in which the new baby arrives.
My doula services are holistic – integrating all layers of existence - and inclusive. This means, the support will meet needs on different levels (practical, physical, emotional). A pregnant person, his/her birthing partner or a newborn parent might wish for different help on different moments.
Your preferences and needs are the starting point of my services and I treat them with confidentiality and respect.
My doula services will always depend on your wishes and situation.

My services as your doula can be, depending on your wishes:

1. guide you prenatally preparing for birth.
This takes form on different levels with a focus on providing you information to make decisions for yourself and helping to get physically and emotionally ready to birth your child. There are three sessions included in this package.
2. be present at birth from the moment you wish me to be there.
We have talked through birth ahead, to create a setting where you can feel safe. I will hold space to maintain this safe space, and assist to offer comfort and relaxation - the best recipe to smoothen your birthing experience. I am also here to help the birthing partner to help you, and to manage practical things in the birthing space. I will help to remind caregivers of your wishes, if needed, so you can relax more. I will help in communication if wished for. I cannot make decisions for you.
3. offer postpartum support.
For a smooth transition with your baby arriving, I will offer postpartum help. This can be practical help for you or your family or other children, help in the household (with a focus on nutrition), emotional support for all family members to integrate the big change while recovering from birth, belly binds, gentle massage and belly warming compresses. I offer breastfeeding support and can help you to find caregivers and specialists if needed. Two postpartum sessions of 1,5 hour each are included in the package, as well as a warming Ayurvedic meal with each session.

*3 prenatal meetings of 1,5 hour to create your Birth Plan, Postpartum Plan and prepare for your birth peacefully
- Envision your birth. What are your wishes? Which fears might come up? How can we work on a safe space? Which information do you need?
- Going through your comfort measures for birth & Envision your Postpartum
- Check-in, Peaceful birth preparation & Relaxation session for the mother (gentle pregnancy massage with guided meditation)
*Availability to answer questions that might arise by phone until 6 weeks after birth
*Full support during birth from the moment you wish me to come
*2 Postpartum visits of 1,5 hour to support you with what is needed in that moment
All pricing is excluding parking costs and traveling costs if more than 20 minutes driving from Haarlem.
