Introduction
The initial four sessions of INNATE's Preparing for the Fourth Trimester Course take place during the prenatal period. During these sessions, participants receive information and education on postpartum physiology and psychology. Additionally, each family is guided in creating a personalized postpartum plan tailored to their specific needs.
The fifth and concluding class of INNATE's Preparing for the Fourth Trimester Course occurs in the postpartum phase. Families, who attended the first four sessions together, reconvene once everyone has reached a minimum of six weeks postpartum. The primary purpose of this concluding class is to offer a platform for mothers and fathers to be acknowledged and celebrated by the community.
In this community gathering, our intention is to collectively:
-Understand the 5 Essentials of postpartum healing.
-Create and fortify our support networks.
-Develop a postpartum plan that meets the unique needs of each family.
Additionally, i am including one session of craniosacral therapy in the postpartum period to facilitate one more layer of support to mothers just right after birth, in the first 3 to 7 days postpartum.
In this way, we bring honor and a layer of completion to our rites of passage into Motherhood and Fatherhood.
