What I do!
I work with families who are ready to make a commitment to follow tried and tested methods. I coach, guide and support parents step-by-step to teach their infant or toddler how to sleep through the night independently.
The coaching always starts with a focus on the bedtime routine and making small alterations. The daytime focus is on wake windows and nap length so that your child is not over tired or sleeping to much in the daytime.
Parents can also expect to learn about the importance of sleep and what their child needs. This helps to develop parents' confidence to support their child through the coaching process and maintain the child's good sleep habits in the future.
When parents trust me and the method, and are consistent with their child’s bedtime routine, families will achieve their sleep goals.
I cannot say it is a cry free process. Crying is one of the ways children communicate their needs. But I do not follow the 'leave your baby to cry out’ method. I use the Sleep Sense programme. This is a gentle proven method for teaching your child to sleep through the night tailored to your child's sleep needs.
