Hello, my name is Miranda and I am a mummy to Forest and Daisy! I'm originally from the UK, one of 6 daughters to my wonderful parents. I lived in Singapore, India and now here in the Netherlands.

I'm so passionate about everything birth and postpartum related. I never thought I would be! After school, my life was all about travelling with my backpack. I was fascinated with the world! Hungry to scuba dive oceans, climb mountains, learn yoga, meditation, different cultures and traditions. I travelled for 4 years around Australia and Asia (alot of time in India), picking up jobs along the way.

Then I met Nik and everything changed. Having my own children opened my eyes to the magical world of pregnancy and birth!

I absolutely love helping to empower women to achieve a positive and empowering birth experience, and supporting them through the hugely transformative motherhood journey. My support continues with massage and baby massage, postnatal support.

Giving birth, and becoming a parent, is a huge journey, a life-changing experience.

I gave birth to Forest and Daisy using HypnoBirthing. I was really scared of birth, petrified even! I'd heard so many scary stories about birth (my own 5 sisters' births too!). But HypnoBirthing changed that. It helped me completely change my mindset around birth, helping me feel so much more confident in my body's ability. I know firsthand how birth feels and how HypnoBirthing really, truly works. I was able to use the HypnoBirthing techniques with my husband, Nik, for both of my (very different: 1 emergency c-section, and 1 hospital VBAC) births. I loved it so much that I started teaching HypnoBirthing in 2012, after training with the Mongan Method and going on to train with other programs.

I truly believe that if a woman has great support by her side, she can have the most positive, empowering birth and postpartum experience. This is why I became a birth doula and postnatal doula. A supportive and encouraging birth partner can be positively birth-changing! I love to support and empower parents through their journey, whether they birth at home, in a hospital, without pain relief, with all the pain meds on offer, or via c-section. I help and support partners through birth too. Every single birth deserves preparation and love and support. I love to support women and families through their postpartum period too, offering doula support in those first few weeks/months.

I began my training in India in 2004 where I fell in love with massage. I then became a Holistic massage therapist in the UK in 2009, and have been learning more and more since then through experience and trainings. A woman's body goes through many changes during pregnancy, and birth, and postpartum, and massage supports those changes, while nurturing her, making her feel wonderful.

I'm also a fully qualified Baby Massage teacher, having trained with two different schools in the UK. Baby massage is a powerful way to communicate and bond with your baby, helping to build your confidence whilst supporting and encouraging your baby's development. Touch is so important for a baby's development.

I have been lucky to have helped 100's of families whilst living and working in Singapore, the UK, and now here in the Netherlands, and have experience teaching and supporting in hospitals and in more intimate venues and private homes.
