Introduction

Astrid Limburg is the midwifery practice for ​pregnant women in Amsterdam Oost and Zuid.

→ WHO WE ARE
Whether it's a first pregnancy or the next: it's a unique and exciting process every time. We are a team of 6 midwives and 2 assistants. We guide you from pregnancy to birth. And also after the birth we regularly visit you in the first week to see if you and your baby are doing well. During your pregnancy, we carry out check-ups, provide information and advice, and support you with the many choices that you will face in the coming nine months. We always listen to your wishes and tailor our care accordingly. In this way we like to be everyone's support and rock.

~ Customized care: we stand for personal guidance. Together we look for the best tailor-made care, where safety always comes first. In this unique process of pregnancy, birth and parenthood, we rely on your strength and intuition, to use our experience and passion to achieve a positive (birth) experience, resulting in a healthy child and a healthy mother.
~ Natural process: pregnancy is a natural process. The body usually clearly indicates what is best for you and your child. As midwives, we rely on the strength and intuition of expectant mothers and tailor our care accordingly. For a pleasant pregnancy and a natural delivery, it is important that you can make your own choices and that you feel supported and at ease.
~ Questions, worries, doubts: during nine months of pregnancy, endless choices are presented to you. For example, do you opt for prenatal screening? Do you want to know the gender? Where do you want to give birth? Are you breastfeeding? For support and advice with all these questions, you can contact the midwifery practice Astrid Limburg in Amsterdam. So that you can make a decision based on the right information that you feel comfortable with.

1073 CV AmsterdamDo you live in the Pijp, Centrum, Oud-Zuid de Rivierenbuurt, Amstelkwartier, Watergraafsmeer, Oostpoort or Amsterdam-Oost?  Then you are welcome at the Astrid Limburg midwifery practice. Our experienced midwives will take good care of you and offer personal care that revolves around your wishes and intuition. Our services include:
• Consultation for those trying to get pregnant
• Support during pregnancy and childbirth
• All necessary information at an early stage
• Prenatal testing and check-ups during pregnancy
• Ultrasounds at our practice or ultrasound centre
• External cephalic version
• Evening childbirth classes
• Various courses
• Follow-up 6 weeks after childbirth
• Contraception advice
• Psychological care

→ ULTRASOUNDS
In approximately the 10th week of pregnancy, an ultrasound will be performed to establish the due date of your pregnancy with certainty. During your pregnancy, it is possible to do more ultrasounds like gender reveal and a twenty week screening. During the intake, we will give you more information on this. If necessary we will perform more ultrasounds. The ultrasounds are performed at the practice or at our ultrasound centre Echopunt. The ultrasounds are made both at the practice itself and in our ultrasound centre; Echo point.

→ GOOD TO KNOW
+ Between 30-34 weeks of your pregnancy you can attend a Q&A about childbirth via a zoom link: a perfect opportunity to ask all your questions about birth and all related matters.
+ Home visits in pregnancy and postnatal
+ Rapid referral to other medical specialists if needed
+ Collaboration with multiple healthcare disciplines
